Hi folks,
I would like to thank all of the NRAS team who kindly organised the Bristol NRAS Workwise Workshop last week. It was a brilliant evening and the first time I have attended an event organised by NRAS.
I would highly recommend attending one of the National Workwise Workshops as it was extremely interesting and well presented by Clare Jacklin, Sandra Neylon, Kerri Herbert and Lee Gabbie. Other members of the Nras team were there and I was also fortunate to meet Dana who organises WARM (Weston Area Rheumatoid Matters) in Weston-super-Mare. I enjoyed meeting other people who are interested in ways to keep working.
I found out a great deal of information regarding how to cope at work with RA and what employers can do to assist to make working life much easier. I am very fortunate that my employer is very empathetic and has been exceedingly supportive after I discovered I had RA. I did explain from the onset of the disease about the condition, kind support has been given and this I am sure has helped me to continue working.
Once again I sincerely recommend you attend one of the workshops because you will have a lovely evening, may be able to improve your working life and make new friends!
Enjoy!
Take care,
Lorna
